- Make sure you have plenty to eat before drinking soju. You’ll be less likely to take a fall.
- Have a designated driver (think Soju Man), or a friend who can hold their soju better than you.
- Don't try to outdrink your seniors, they've had more practice.
- Try mixing soju with different fruit juices to create unique cocktails, or freeze some soju to make ice lollies.
- Have a ‘soju bomb’ by dropping a shot of soju into a glass of beer.

- It is customary to pour for others before pouring for yourself.
- Soju is a strong spirit, so it is important to drink responsibly and pace yourself.
- Soju is often enjoyed with a meal, such as Korean barbecue or fried chicken. It can also be enjoyed with anju, or food specifically designed to be consumed with alcohol.
- Soju is a social drink, so it is often consumed in a group setting. Have fun!
